Life is constantly providing us with new funds, new resources, even when we are reduced to immobility. In life's ledger there is no such thing as frozen assets.

This is one of my first experiments with freezing flowers and then shoot them. These are blossoms of a hydrangea, shot through the ice against sunlight and with a blue background.

  1. Very successful, they look lovely, Ursula! There is a lovely quality to the light in these frozen beauties, especially a the ice is so lovely and clear.
I love photographing frozen flowers, have a freezer full of them, when I can do it. +Ursula Klepper

  2. What a beautiful quote to complement your photograph. My "freezing" frenzy was during winter time, when the evenings were to cold to shoot conceptual portraiture in the outside.

  3. I do move my studio outside in summer. I have not yet discovered my next winter theme, but you seem to have interesting new frozen territories to explore 🙂
